Biolich/Maudlin of the well/Kayo dot/Forcefedglass members playing Gorguts, guest appearance from Jonah Jenkins.

dl

Celestine - This home will be our grave (2008)

Celestine hail from Iceland, Celestine play some form of sludgy metal
(think Unfold Or Breach it's me god era on a metalcore overdose)
with a southern slant maybe, lots of yelling and screaming.

It's in M4a so apologies

Maudlin - Ionesco (2008)

For those of you who were disappointed by Amen Ras latest (Mass III) then fear not, for fellow Belgians Maudlin, are here to make you top yourself uh I mean save the day, which ever one suits you best.

I guess this is somewhere between Converge, Isis & Cult of Luna and of course the aforementioned

At times i'm reminded of Candiria free jazz (yeah that's right, i didn't skip my meds)

Overmars fans could get their jollies off this too.

Oh well enjoy.

Neuraxis - The thin line between (2008)

What with Craptopsy (lol geddit) releasing an absolute fucking turd of an album, let's hope Neuraxis don't follow suit.

Easing off the technicality for a more groovier take on things and I can't fault them.

Enjoy.

Playing Enemy - My life as the villain (2008)

So, I guess it's here, angry, nervous & unhinged, former members of KIG/Rorschach/Nineironshitfire blah blah.

Anaphylatic Shock - 2000 Years (2008)

With Cursed gone, the void needed to be filled, and these guys do a great job of filling that "void"

Crusty metal with a slight black metal overtone.

Parlamentarisk Sodomi - Har Du Sagt A Far (2008)

Those crazy Norwegians with their unpronounceable names & foreign song titles, you'd think they were doing it on purpose.

A solid blasting wall of hatred

Discordance axis/Phobia fans will love this

dl

Despise You - Westside Horizons

Absolutely vicious, violent metallic grind/powerviolence from none other than California angry & at times verging on Agoraphobic nosebleed insanity.

Maybe someone ran over the guys dog?

Harvey Milk - Life... the best game in town (2008)

Harvey Milk don't like you.

But I like them, so what are you waiting for, DL.

dl

Rubbish Heap - Rubbish Heap (????)

The dudes at Conspiracy records used to play in this band.
Unremitting hardcore from Belgium... don't know too much about this, one thing I do know though, is that it's awesome.

dl

Kerosene 454

The image “http://www.builtonaweakspot.com/images/kerosene454.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
A really solid post-hardcore band that fell under the radar unfortunately. their second and third albums.

Came By To Kill Me (1997)
At Zero (1998)

Sludge - lava (2008)

What's to say about this... an absolute hammer smash of an album, crushing metallic sludge (funny that) this band is as old as your granddads teeth, and as heavy as your grandma, Odin on vocals (he of Unfold/Vancouver fame)

Entombed/Celtic frost fanboys, heads up.

Karysun - Interceptor (2008)

Former Amanda woodward members fuck shit up ala Sweetcobra, Lord by fire, Floor, Black cobra & the like.

Don't go expecting emo anthems here, this is dirty, raw & unpolished sludge/stoner

Highly recommended.
