Before "Metalcore" there was Overcast and this their "final" testament

Celestine - This home will be our grave (2008)

Celestine hail from Iceland, Celestine play some form of sludgy metal
(think Unfold Or Breach it's me god era on a metalcore overdose)
with a southern slant maybe, lots of yelling and screaming.

It's in M4a so apologies

Maudlin - Ionesco (2008)

For those of you who were disappointed by Amen Ras latest (Mass III) then fear not, for fellow Belgians Maudlin, are here to make you top yourself uh I mean save the day, which ever one suits you best.

I guess this is somewhere between Converge, Isis & Cult of Luna and of course the aforementioned

At times i'm reminded of Candiria free jazz (yeah that's right, i didn't skip my meds)

Overmars fans could get their jollies off this too.

Oh well enjoy.

dl

Neuraxis - The thin line between (2008)

What with Craptopsy (lol geddit) releasing an absolute fucking turd of an album, let's hope Neuraxis don't follow suit.

Easing off the technicality for a more groovier take on things and I can't fault them.

Enjoy.

dl

Playing Enemy - My life as the villain (2008)

So, I guess it's here, angry, nervous & unhinged, former members of KIG/Rorschach/Nineironshitfire blah blah.

dl

Anaphylatic Shock - 2000 Years (2008)

With Cursed gone, the void needed to be filled, and these guys do a great job of filling that "void"

Crusty metal with a slight black metal overtone.

dl

Parlamentarisk Sodomi - Har Du Sagt A Far (2008)

Those crazy Norwegians with their unpronounceable names & foreign song titles, you'd think they were doing it on purpose.

A solid blasting wall of hatred

Discordance axis/Phobia fans will love this
